Bio
Born in Winston-Salem, N.C. and now residing in Nashville, Bart Walsh started playing guitar at the age of seven. Bart’s musical inspirations include his Great uncle, Cecil Campbell, a country music hall of famer, and many ’50s, ’60s and ’70s guitarists.
Bart was playing the professional bar circuit by 16 and by the age of 20, he had already played over 400 gigs touring the U.S. opening for Steppenwolf, Nazereth, Humble Pie and members of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Around this time Bart recorded and released a self produced E.P. with his band “Threshold.”
Bart decided to expand his musical horizons by moving to Los Angeles and attending the world famous Muscians Institute. There he studied with many music industry notables such as Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson), and Paul Gilbert (Racer X and Mr.Big). After graduating with honors he went to on to found Lancia, a top L.A. draw that secured an international record deal. Eventually, however, he found himself without a singer able to fulfill the responsibility of fronting a band.
David Lee Roth (legendary Van Halen front man) recognized his talents and pulled him for a world tour spanning three continents and playing in front of over 500,000 fans in 1999. In his career as as a musician Bart has played, recorded or performed with members of Ozzy Osbourne, David Lee Roth, The Michael Schenker Group, Dio, Tanya Tucker, Donna Summer, Poison and many others. Bart has also appeared in numerous international film, T.V. and audio documents (such as A.B.C.’s In Concert series, as the guitarist in The Bret Michaels Band that also featured Ozzy Osbourne and Creed) and looks toward the future as a serious player in the cyberspace evolution of music.
